MJ Health, Cancer Survivors Malaysia, Porsche Club Malaysia, Yayasan WWRC and Modern Cancer Hospital Quangzhou join hands to promote breast health awareness and support cancer survivors through screening sponsorship.
Petaling Jaya, Malaysia | 31 October 2026 — Breast cancer awareness goes beyond wearing pink. It is about encouraging women to understand their breast health, seek timely medical advice, access appropriate screening and receive the support they need throughout their healthcare journey.
In conjunction with Pink October, MJ Health, together with Cancer Survivors Malaysia, Porsche Club Malaysia, Yayasan WWRC and Modern Cancer Hospital Quangzhou, is bringing together healthcare professionals, cancer survivors, community partners and members of the media for a breast cancer awareness initiative dedicated to education, early detection and community support.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of breast cancer, promote informed conversations about breast health and highlight the importance of making appropriate screening and medical assessment more accessible to women, particularly those who may face financial or other barriers to healthcare.

Yayasan WWRC’s RM20,000
Sponsorship Expands Access to Breast Ultrasound
A key highlight of the initiative is the RM20,000
charitable sponsorship contributed by Yayasan WWRC to Cancer Survivors Malaysia
for breast ultrasound screenings. This contribution helps support the
programme’s commitment to making breast health services more accessible to
eligible women.
The organisers extend their heartfelt appreciation to
Yayasan WWRC for its generosity and commitment to women’s health. The
sponsorship represents a meaningful contribution towards reducing financial
barriers and encouraging women to take proactive steps in caring for their
breast health.
Special appreciation is also extended to Porsche Club
Malaysia, particularly Ms Amanda Ong, for helping connect the initiative with
Yayasan WWRC as a charitable funder. Her support in facilitating this
connection demonstrates the important role that community networks and
partnerships can play in mobilising resources for meaningful healthcare
initiatives.
As of 31 October 2026, the programme has received a total
of 300 eligible women for complimentary breast ultrasound screenings. This
milestone represents a collective effort by the participating organisations,
sponsors and supporters to translate awareness into practical assistance for
women in the community.
The organisers sincerely thank Yayasan WWRC, Porsche Club
Malaysia and everyone involved for helping make this support possible.

Pn. Zuraini Kamal, President of Cancer Survivors Malaysia, will deliver an opening address highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection and support for individuals and families affected by cancer.
Through its advocacy and community engagement, Cancer Survivors Malaysia plays an important role in bringing attention to the experiences and needs of cancer survivors. The organisation’s involvement reinforces the message that cancer care extends beyond diagnosis and treatment to include emotional support, community understanding and continued access to appropriate healthcare.
As the recipient of the RM20,000 sponsorship from Yayasan WWRC for breast ultrasound screenings, Cancer Survivors Malaysia will be able to further support the initiative’s efforts to improve access to breast health services for eligible women.
The event also provides an opportunity to recognise the courage and resilience of cancer survivors and encourage more open conversations about breast health, screening and recovery.

Another important contribution to the initiative comes from Modern Cancer Hospital Quangzhou, which is providing sponsorship support for health screening for cancer survivors.
This initiative reflects a commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of cancer survivors by helping them access appropriate screening services. Continued health monitoring and medically appropriate screening are important aspects of long-term care, with recommendations depending on an individual’s cancer history, treatment and personal risk factors.
The organisers sincerely thank Modern Cancer Hospital Quangzhou for its contribution and support towards this meaningful initiative.
By bringing healthcare providers, community organisations, charitable funders and sponsors together, the programme hopes to demonstrate how collaboration can help address barriers to healthcare and provide practical support to those who need it.

Empowering Women Through Knowledge and Personal Experiences
The programme will feature healthcare sharing sessions covering breast health awareness, screening options, breast ultrasound and the importance of early detection. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from cancer survivors, who will share personal experiences and perspectives on navigating a cancer diagnosis.
Low Mei Pin, an MJ member and cancer survivor, will share her personal journey to offer encouragement and hope to women and families affected by breast cancer.
Her participation highlights the importance of giving cancer survivors a voice and creating a supportive environment where individuals feel encouraged to seek medical advice, share their concerns and access the support they need.
The event will also feature representatives from Porsche Club Malaysia, including Deputy President YM Raja Zainal Kamal and Exco member Ms Amanda Ong, to share the club’s support for breast ultrasound sponsorship for Cancer Survivors Malaysia and its role in facilitating community partnerships.
Beyond Awareness: Building Healthier Communities
The programme will also feature a sharing session by Baseline Health on its health and wellbeing services, including Clinical Pilates, Occupational Therapy and Scoliosis Care.
While breast cancer awareness, appropriate screening and medical assessment remain central to the event, the organisers hope to encourage a wider culture of preventive health, self-care and informed healthcare decisions.
The organisers encourage women to speak with qualified healthcare professionals about their individual breast health needs, understand which screening options are appropriate for them and seek prompt medical assessment if they notice unusual breast changes.
Through education, charitable giving, collaboration and community support, the Pink October initiative aims to create a meaningful impact beyond the event itself.

A Shared Commitment to Women’s Health
Irene Lau, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of MJ Health, who will deliver the welcome address, said:
“Pink October is more than just wearing pink. Behind every breast cancer statistic is a real person, a family and a story. We want to use this opportunity to remind women that their health matters, that early detection can make a meaningful difference, and that they do not have to face their journey alone.
“We are deeply grateful to Yayasan WWRC for its RM20,000 sponsorship to Cancer Survivors Malaysia for breast ultrasound screenings, and to Porsche Club Malaysia, especially Ms Amanda Ong, for helping connect us with this charitable funder. With the collective support of our partners, 300 women have now been identified as eligible for complimentary breast ultrasound screenings, we would open for registration into our Website: “This is a meaningful example of how collaboration can turn compassion into action. By bringing healthcare professionals, cancer survivors, charitable foundations and community partners together, we hope to encourage more women to take charge of their breast health and help make appropriate screening and support more accessible to those who need it.”
The organisers extend their sincere appreciation to Datuk Mike Tee, Executive Chairman of MJ Health; Pn. Zuraini Kamal, President of Cancer Survivors Malaysia; Yayasan WWRC; Porsche Club Malaysia, particularly Ms Amanda Ong; Modern Cancer Hospital Quangzhou; all participating speakers, sponsors and members of the media for their valuable contributions and support.
